Nuvo Noir Returns as One of Geoffrey’s Inner Circle Upcoming Events

As the year comes to a close, Nuvo Noir returns to Oakland’s historic Geoffrey’s Inner Circle for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration that fuses art, fashion, culture, and technology.

Taking place on December 31, 2025, Nuvo Noir is more than an event; it's an immersive experience rooted in community, innovation, and cultural celebration, set within one of Oakland’s most iconic Black-owned entertainment spaces.

Where Art, Culture, and Community Converge

The evening begins with a multigenerational networking hour sponsored by CoBiZ; a regional, sustainable co-working space and business incubator that supports entrepreneurs, creators, professionals, and nonprofiteers. The opening sets the tone for a night focused on connection, collaboration, and shared vision.

Throughout the night, guests will enjoy performances by local musical talent and spotlights on emerging entrepreneurs, all alongside the taste of a soulful, curated menu from Geoffrey’s legendary kitchen!

Fashion Meets History

At the heart of Nuvo Noir is a runway experience curated by us at Saint Maurice Clothing. Drawing inspiration from classical art, the collection visually celebrates the presence of Black and Brown figures throughout art history; our designs challenge conventional narratives by placing cultural truth front and center, using fashion as a means of storytelling.

Beyond the runway, the event features integration of augmented reality technology by Oakland-based Black Terminus AR. Attendees can scan imagery featured directly on the clothing, activating immersive historical narratives that bring culture, identity, and history to life in real time.

A Night Rooted in Partnership and Purpose

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Fly Write Consulting and Saint Maurice once again co-produce Nuvo Noir with a shared mission: to spotlight overlooked excellence while fostering pride, collaboration, and intergenerational engagement within the community.
